Lucy Hoffman, Board of Directors. Lucy has been part of The Danny Fund, which is a 501c3 program, which provides financial and emotional support to children under 21 who have been diagnosed with a catastrophic illness or injury. She has been involved with this organization for approximately 14 years, and implemented the social work assessments, follow-up, and intervention guidelines for the fund. Lucy also assists with the application and implementation of securing charity status 501c3, and formalized the guidelines for The Danny Fund.
Currently, Lucy is an adjunct professor at Concordia College in Bronxville, NY, where she teaches clinical social work classes for traditional undergraduate BSW students. Previously, she taught at The College of New Rochelle in the Graduate School of Human Services. Her past clinical experience includes acute care, hospice, home-care, and a myriad of social work practice areas. When not volunteering with The Danny Fund or teaching, Lucy also works part-time as a counselor in the Concordia Counseling Center, on campus.
Lucy received her AS in Liberal Studies from Champlain College in Vermont, in addition to a BA in Sociology from the State University of New York, College at Cortland, Masters in Social Work from Fordham University. She is married to Michael and has two children, Timothy and Srah, who attend Pelham Schools. In addition, she has a menagerie of pets that keep her quite busy, and has previously rescued, rehabilitated, and placed several stray cats and kittens.
