Melinda (Mindy) Falzarano: Founder & Executive Director. Mindy has many years of professional experience including project management, video production, and marketing. She has a great deal of experience helping neglected and abandoned domestic, farm, and wild animals. She is passionate about addressing the mistreatment of farm animals, and the effects of deforestation, environmental issues, and agriculture on the habitats of wildlife and endangered species.
Mindy is a 1985 graduate of Champlain College in Burlington, VT, and also studied Mass Communications at Emerson College in Boston, MA as a post-graduate. She has written, produced, and directed commercials, corporate films, and a documentary. After working for several years as an Executive Assistant and Project Coordinator for ITT Sheraton World Headquarters in Boston, she moved to Steamboat Springs, CO to work as a Project Manager, managing the budget and schedule for two major renovation projects at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort. She also worked as a Project Manager for Adventures in Advertising, as an Office Manager for Steamboat Magazine, and as an Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation.
While at Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation, Mindy served as Secretary for two years on the Board of Directors, Steamboat Mountain Village Partnership (MVP.) The Steamboat MVP is an organization that was formed by mountain business owners to enhance and support commerce in the mountain base area, by developing and implementing marketing programs, special events, and on-going programming. Mindy practices a vegan lifestyle and has rescued and fostered several animals over the years. She is passionate about protecting all animals from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and crisis.
