HAPI provides $500 project-based micro-grants to help make those changes possible.

Orthopedic bedding, warming areas, senior-friendly spaces, and other improvements that help animals make everyday life a little easier
Better Access
Ramps, non-slip surfaces, low-entry furnishings, and modifications that help animals with mobility challenges navigate their world.

Thoughtful spaces, equipment, and activities designed for animals whose age or disabilities may change how they interact with their environment.
We know shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries have enough on their plates. Applying for a $500 grant shouldn't require hours of paperwork.

During our pilot year, we'll award one $500 Micro-Grant approximately every four months.
3. Make It Happen
Put the funding toward your project and help make life a little better for the senior and special-needs animals in your care.
HAPI Micro-Grants are for nonprofit animal shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries caring for senior and/or special-needs animals.
Projects must directly benefit a group or population of senior and/or special-needs animals.
At this time, Micro-Grants are not intended for general operating expenses or veterinary care for an individual animal.
